Work on your jazz/big band chops with a 9 piece band, playing arrangements by Chuck Israels. 

Composer, soloists and teacher Andrés Martin returns to GGBC for the week to work with students looking take their playing to a new level. Andrés will lead classes on his own music, as well as master classes on solo playing, and workshops on composition for the bass.

Jazz bass luminary Chuck Israels comes to to GGBC in 2023, bringing his lifetime of experience playing with jazz legends like Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Billy Holiday, Stan Getz, and more. Mr. Israels will lead workshops on improvisation, jazz bass lines, and creative interaction on the band stand. Take the opportunity to play one of Mr Israels’ own compositions with a live big band in a new GGBC workshop, learning at the feet one of the masters.
